My friend T sent me an IM a few minutes ago. It said: “Hey Yo!”. You’re wondering why this is significant, right? It’s because that is how I always answer my phone when she calls, and how I usually start IM’s with her. It’s funny that she’s started unintentionally copying my phrase, and it’s not the first time I’ve noticed that either, with her or with other friends. A few days ago I found myself saying “Gah!” in a moment of distress, and I actually stopped to wonder where did I pick that up? It wasn’t until reading one of Travis’ posts the next day that I realized it was his influence on my vocabulary. I’ve also started copying Jolene’s mmmmkay? on a few occasions.

This isn’t really an important post, just stating an observation I’ve made. I think it’s interesting how people start to pick up the habits of their close friends (even blogger friends!). It’s strange the influence we have on each other, but it’s only going to be a problem if I start saying awesomesauce.
